Apple’s iPod Lineup to get 3.2 Megapixel Camera

According to a recent rumors Apple’s series of iPods are likely to get camera including iPod Classic. DigiTimes reported earlier today that OmniVIsion has got the contract of providing 18 Million CMOS image sensors to Apple Inc. per quarter.

It is being expecting that along with iPod Touch and iPod Nano, Apple’s only remaining hard drive based media player will also get a 3.2 megapixel camera upgrade.

Omnivision is the same company which also is the sole supplier of 3.2 megapixel camera for iPhone 3GS. Whether or not this rumor going to be true we will have to wait for the Apple’s media event which is likely to be arranged on 9th of September 2009.
